SU’s COMTEK hosts food and wine pairing June 10 May 29, 2009Amy Schmitzaemehrin@syr.edu

Syracuse University’s Community Test Kitchen (COMTEK) at the South Side Innovation Center (SSIC) will hold a special food and wine pairing on Wednesday, June 10, starting at 5:30 p.m. The evening will include a discussion with Daniel Jackson, wine sales representative from Pascale Liquors, who will reveal to participants the joy of pairing delicious food with white wines and sparkling white wines.

Participants will also learn about the history of wine and different grape varieties; basic tasting techniques; and how to make wine a business. Early registration is strongly suggested; the cost is $25.

COMTEK is a joint partnership with the Whitman School of Management at SU and the Nelson Farms subsidiary of SUNY Morrisville. Parking is available at the SSIC, 2610 S. Salina St., Syracuse.

For more information or to make reservations, contact JoAnn Puchir, administrative coordinator, at (315) 443-8634 or jpuchir@syr.edu.
