Beta Alpha Psi, a student organization within the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University, will host the second annual Tracy Halpin Memorial 5K Run on Saturday, April 25, starting at 10:30 a.m. The 3.2-mile USA Track and Field Certified course will start at Henry Street, loop through the SU campus, and end west of the Dome. Registration fee to enter the race is $25. Registration and packet pickup will be held in the Dome parking lot at the intersection of Henry Street and Raynor Avenue.
Halpin was an honor student in the Whitman School who died unexpectedly in January 2006. She had just finished her tenure as president of Beta Alpha Psi and had plans to accept a job offer from PricewaterhouseCoopers in Rochester after she graduated with honors in May 2006.
Proceeds from the run go to the Tracy Halpin Fund, which supports an annual award to an outstanding Beta Alpha Psi student who shares Tracy’s leadership qualities.
