MLK Celebration Committee seeks new members
MLK Celebration Committee seeks new membersMarch 30, 2009Kelly Homan Rodoskikahoman@syr.edu
The planning committee for the Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration is seeking new members from the Syracuse University community-students, faculty and staff. The 25th Annual MLK Celebration Dinner will be held in the Carrier Dome in January 2010 with more than 2,000 people expected to attend. The celebration will also include events within the campus and greater Syracuse communities.
Opportunities exist for members of the University community to help shape the evening program in the Carrier Dome and the community and campus events, as well as take an active role in choosing the 2010 speaker. The committee meetings are a great way to get to know others from across the campus, while serving the community by contributing to one of the University’s major annual events.
The committee welcomes participation from students, faculty and staff. Those interested in joining should contact Committee Chair Kelly Homan Rodoski, communications manager in the Office of News Services, at 443-5381 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
