Students invited to compete for title of Iron ChefMarch 24, 2009Michele Barrettmibarret@syr.edu

Syracuse University students who are not majoring in hospitality management or nutrition are invited to compete in the fourth annual Healthy Monday/Orange Wrap Cook-off Sunday, March 29, from 3-5 p.m. in the kitchen on the second floor of Lyman Hall. The winning team will be named Iron Chefs.

Teams of three will create a quick and healthy meal around the theme ingredient. Teams will also be given a secret ingredient that must be incorporated into the final dish.

Each team will have 60 minutes to create an entree to serve four people. The entrees will be judged on taste, presentation, originality and healthiness.

There is no registration fee for the contest. It is sponsored by Orange Wrap, a nutrition peer education group at SU. For more information, contact Collette Powers at cnpowers@syr.edu.
