The Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University will award the second annual Major Henry “Hank” S. N. Ofeciar Award for Leadership on Feb. 24 in Room 402 at 11 a.m. The award will be presented by Colonel Troy A. Clay, commandant of the U.S. Army Financial Management School and Colonel (Retired ) David Berg, director of defense programs in the Whitman School. The second annual Major Henry S.N. Ofeciar Award for Leadership will be awarded to Major Leslie Barnett ’09.

Ofeciar ’05 ACP/DCP was killed in August 2007 in Afghanistan as a result of his service during Operation Enduring Freedom. The award is presented annually to a Whitman Defense Programs student who has displayed the qualities of leadership, selfless support to other students, and support and participation in the Whitman School events during the summer and fall semesters.
