Dinner tickets for Syracuse University’s 24th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration on saleDecember 03, 2008Kelly Homan Rodoskikahoman@syr.edu

Dinner tickets for Syracuse University’s 24th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration, to be held on Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009, in the Carrier Dome, are currently on sale.

The program, “Dare to Imagine a Better World,” will feature keynote speaker Eddie S. Glaude Jr., a professor and scholar of religion and African American studies and senior fellow at The Jamestown Project; the presentation of the 2009 Unsung Heroes Awards; and entertainment. The program portion of the event, beginning at 6:30 p.m., is free and open to the public.

The dinner precedes the program at 5:30 p.m. Dinner tickets are $25 for the general public and $13.75 for students without meal plans. Students with meal plans will be charged for one dinner.
