Business solutions expert to Speak at Whitman Nov. 20

The Wall Street Speaker Series in the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University will host a guest lecture by Steven A. Kass ’78, co-managing principal of Rothstein Kass, on Thursday, Nov. 20, starting at 3:30 p.m. in Room 302 of the Whitman School building. The lecture, titled “Rothstein Kass: How to Manage a Growing Business,” is free and open to SU students, faculty and staff.

Kass has extensive experience with entrepreneurial businesses and their owners. He began his career with Arthur Young (now Ernst & Young). After three years with the then-Big Eight accounting firm, he joined Rothstein Kass, where he has played an integral role in the firm’s growth and national presence over the last 20 years. Additionally, he has been extensively involved with advising clients within the firm’s financial services group. Kass serves on the advisory board for the Lubin School of Accounting in the Whitman School.

Formerly, he was international chairman of AGN International Ltd., an association of separate and independent accounting and consulting firms in 80 countries. Because of his commitments to philanthropy and his leadership in the accounting and finance profession, he was honored in January 2004 with a Distinguished Achievement award by the banking and finance unit of B’nai B’rith International.

Kass is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is certified to practice in the states of New Jersey, New York and Florida.
