The Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University will host a guest lecture by John M. Phillips ’97 M.B.A., director of strategic planning for the Pharmaceuticals Group Strategic Marketing for Johnson & Johnson, on Tuesday, Oct. 7, at 5:30 p.m.
The lecture, “How Different Are Emerging Markets from Developed Economies-Considerations for the Pharmaceutical Industry,” will take place in Room 402 of the Whitman School building and is free and open to the public. A reception in the Milton Room will immediately follow. Paid parking is available in the University Avenue Garage.
Phillips is responsible for supporting Johnson & Johnson’s group operating committee of the Pharmaceutical Group with development of global strategy and partnering with various levels of senior management across the group to develop functional and therapeutic area strategies. Prior to his current position, Phillips held leadership positions in portfolio management and medical device and diagnostic business strategy at Johnson & Johnson. Before joining Johnson & Johnson, he was a management consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Cap Gemini Management Consulting.
Phillips holds a bachelor’s degree from the University at Buffalo, an M.B.A. from the Whitman School and an executive diploma from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
