Members of the Syracuse University community will observe a moment of silence at noon today in response to a request from Gov. Eliot Spitzer that all communities across New York state share a brief time of observance with the people of Virginia following the April 16 tragedy at Virginia Tech.

The Crouse College chimes will sound once at 12 o’clock and once at 12:01 p.m. to mark the moment.
