The Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University will host a lecture by Ray Kraus ’79 (A&S), product manager of Personicx with Acxiom Corp., on Tuesday, Feb. 13, at 5 p.m. His presentation, “Building Market Share Through Customer Incentives: Practical Applications of Targeting and Positioning?” will take place in Room 402 of the Whitman School building and is free and open to the public. A reception in the Milton Room will follow. Public parking is in the University Avenue Garage.

Kraus joined Acxiom for the second time in 2006. In his current role in the data products group, Kraus works with other product managers to manage the Personicx segmentation product line, including developing new industry specific segmentation systems and developing, commercializing and launching Personicx MarketScape-X, a new suite of tools that enable segmentation analysis and interactive mapping.

Previously, Kraus worked with Equitec, a Midwestern consultancy that focuses on database marketing solutions to the consumer packaged goods and retail industries. His earlier experience with Acxiom involved working as an account team lead. He started his career with Wohl Shoe Co. in various roles involving merchandising, marketing and store operations. Kraus has more than 25 years’ experience in merchandising, marketing and database analytics.

He earned his M.B.A. in marketing and finance at the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Rochester in 1998. He holds a B.A. in history from SU.
