March 1, from 5-7 p.m., and March 2, from 2-5 p.m., media will have an opportunity to photograph or record the installation process of “To Never Forget: Faces of the Fallen,” an exhibition of more than 1,400 5″ x 7″ paintings of U.S. military casualties in Iraq, created in remembrance of lives lost during the war. In its only East Coast showing, the exhibit is being installed on the first-floor wall of Syracuse University’s Shaffer Art Building.
Professor Stephen Zaima, who arranged for the exhibit to be brought to campus, will be available for interviews. Contact Zaima at (914) 388-9696 to schedule an interview during the installation.
Media are also invited to attend the March 3 opening night reception in Shaffer. Zaima and SU students who worked on “Faces of the Fallen” will be present and available to answer questions.
