The Syracuse University Orange football team will represent the Big East Conference in the 2004 Champs Sports Bowl, Tuesday, Dec. 21, in the Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium in Orlando, Fla. SU (6-5) will face Georgia Tech (6-5) of the Atlantic Coast Conference. Kickoff is set for 7:45 p.m. The game will be televised nationally on ESPN. Game tickets and travel packages are now available.

Game ticket information:

SU’s allotment of 12,000 tickets will be sold to SU patrons at discounted rates from the $45 face value. Tickets will remain on sale until Saturday, Dec. 18.

Faculty, staff, SU alumni, season ticket holders, Orange Pack members and SU Athletics Corporate Partners may purchase tickets for $25 each at the Carrier Dome Box Office. These ticket orders must be placed by calling (888) DOMETIX, via fax at (315) 443-3692 or in person at the Carrier Dome Box Office. The deadline for priority seating is 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 10. Ticket order forms are available at http://dometix.com and http://www.suathletics.com/. Payment may be in the form of cash, MasterCard, VISA or American Express. If tickets need to be mailed a $10 overnight shipping charge will be added to the price of each ticket package.

Ernie Davis Football Fund members, Carrier Dome box holders and Football Lettermen’s Club members are also eligible to purchase $25 tickets. These orders should be placed by calling the Orange Pack office at (315) 443-1419.

For members of the general public, tickets are available for $35 from the Carrier Dome Box Office.

For students, sales of student-section tickets will begin on Saturday, Dec. 11, at 2 p.m., in person at the Carrier Dome Box Office. Student tickets will be $20 with valid I.D., with a limit of two tickets per student.

Except for limited use by NCAA corporate partners, tickets may not be offered in a commercial promotion or as a prize in a sweepstakes or contest.

Travel packages:

Official WorldTek travel packages include airfare, ground transfers, a three-night hotel stay at SU headquarters hotel and a bowl souvenir. A land package that includes everything but the airfare is also available. Visa or MasterCard will be accepted. Packages can be ordered by calling WorldTek at (800) 289-8130 or by visiting the “Champs Sports Bowl” link in the SU Center at http://www.suathletics.com/.
