On Sept. 8, the Syracuse University Alumni Club of Central New York held its eighth annual scholarship fundraiser golf tournament at Bellevue Country Club. Each year, the Alumni Club awards six deserving local area students with $1,100 scholarships, for which the golf tournament is the largest fundraiser. This year’s event raised approximately $6,000 for the club’s endowed scholarship fund, an increase of more than $1,000 from last year.
Guest Master of Ceremonies Mark Johnson -the “Voice of the Orange”-and 110 other area golfers enjoyed a day of golf, plus a reception and dinner with door prizes and auctions. For further Alumni Club information visit http://www.su-cny-alumni.com or call Michael Byrne at (315) 426-3708.
