The Alpha Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Delta, the national honorary society for international scholars, held its induction ceremony for new members February 26 in Hendricks Chapel.

“Students, both national and international, are extremely pleased to be honored in this way,” says Michael Smithee, associate director of the Slutzker Center for International Services and chapter coordinator at Syracuse University. “To see their smiles and to have their name and country announced as they walk across the stage to receive their medallion is to the recipients, validation of their decision to become involved in international educational exchange.”
