Syracuse University will honor the memory of two professors in separate memorial services planned Oct. 18 and 19.
Professor Myron Lichtblau, professor emeritus of languages, literatures and linguistics in The College of Arts and Sciences, will be remembered in a memorial service on Friday, Oct. 18 at 2 p.m. in Hendricks Chapel. Lichtblau died March 17 at the age of 76. He was an SU faculty member for 39 years.
A memorial service for K. Douglas Nelson, Jessie Page Heroy Professor and chair of the Department of Earth Sciences in The College of Arts and Sciences, will be held Saturday, Oct. 19 at 11 a.m. in Hendricks Chapel. Nelson died Aug. 17 at the age of 49. He joined the SU faculty in 1992.
