Wanted: Creative designs for the cover of the 2001-02 Syracuse University Campus DirectoryFebruary 09, 2001Jonathan Hayjhay@syr.edu

The Syracuse University Telecommunications Office is sponsoring a contest for the design of the 2001-02 Campus Directory cover. The contest is open to students, staff and faculty members. The winning entry will be awarded $500 and will appear on the cover of the 16,000 directories to be delivered across campus in October. The theme for the design is “Syracuse University: Expanding Horizons.” Entries can be original artwork, photographs or computer-generated images. Each entry must conform to the design rules specified in the entry packet. Participants may download the entry information from the Directory Cover Contest Web site at:http://www.syracuse.edu/common/directory-contest, or pick up entry packets at the following locations: Computing and Media Services Information Center in Room 116 of Hinds Hall; the Newhouse Dean’s Office, Room 100 of Newhouse I; the Telecommunications Office, Room 121 in the Skytop Office Building; the Publications Office, Room 308 in the Women’s Building; the SU Bookstore Art Department; or the Department of Art Media Studies, Room 102 of the Shaffer Art Building. All entries are to be returned to either the Telecommunications Office or to the Computing and Media Services publications office in Room 211 of Machinery Hall by 5 p.m. March 30.
