The Office of the Associate Provost for Academic Affairs has announced Focus on Assessment, a series of professional development workshops scheduled for the fall 2016 semester. The first workshop, Introduction to Rubrics, is Friday, Sept. 23. Dannelle Stevens is a professor in the department of curriculum and instruction at Portland State University. She is coauthor of the book “Introduction to rubrics: An assessment tool to save grading time, convey effective feedback and promote student learning” (Stylus Press, 2005, 2nd ed., 2012). Two sessions will be offered:
