The second concert of the Bandersnatch Music Series held at the Schine Underground will feature acclaimed hip-hop artist Saigon live on Wednesday, Nov. 12, at 8 p.m.

Tickets-$5 with valid Syracuse University or SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry student, faculty or staff I.D., and $10 for the general public-are on sale now at the Schine Box Office (443-4517). Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

“Bandersnatch is excited to bring Saigon, a rising talent in the hip-hop community, to the SU campus,” says Bandersnatch Music Series President Andrew Friedman. “Students probably know him best from his appearances on the HBO series ‘Entourage,’ but they will be impressed with his amazing range of skills brought live onstage.”

Through unofficial singles and mix-tapes, the Brooklyn native rose within the hip-hop world ranks with his raw lyrics and driven song messages. With songs such as “Shock TV,” Saigon accumulated a sizable fan base and created a buzz within the hip-hop industry. In 2005, Saigon signed to Atlantic Records. He also sustained a recurring role on Season 2 of HBO’s critically acclaimed show “Entourage” and was featured on the series soundtrack with his hit song “Don’t Do That.”

The Bandersnatch Music Series is a subdivision of University Union Concerts. Over time, Bandersnatch gained the reputation of bringing up-and-coming, indie, underground and emerging artists to play intimate concerts within the Schine Underground. Previous Bandersnatch shows include Jason Reeves, Wolf Parade, The Format, Shiny Toy Guns, Styles P, Matt & Kim, Head Automatica, The Hold Steady and Straylight Run.
