Rapper XV, disc jockey RJD2 and student performer Delirium will perform at Mayfest on Friday, April 30, in Walnut Park, adjacent to the Syracuse University campus. Delirium will begin the afternoon of live performances at 1:30 p.m., followed by XV and RJD2.

RJD2, music producer and DJ, has come a long way since his first time spinning on turntables that he bought from a friend in high school. His extensive discography includes four full-length albums, in addition to multiple EPs, mixtapes, singles and four instrumental albums. His most recent full length album, “The Colossus,” was released in January, only one year after he established his own label, RJ’s Electrical Connections. His work has been featured in television commercials for companies such as Heineken, Saturn, Levi’s and Adidas. RJD2’s tracks can be heard everywhere from skateboarding and snowboarding movies, the NFL and NBA 2K5 video games, to popular television series like “CSI: NY” and “Mad Men.”

In addition to collaborations with Blueprint and Diplo, RJD2 has contributed to soundtracks for the movies “Prime” and “Wimbledon” and “The Nightmare Before Christmas” cover soundtrack, “Nightmare Revisited.” In May, he will tour throughout Europe before returning to the United States for a show with Pretty Lights at Terminal 5 in New York City.

xvXV, born Donavan Johnson, is a Kansas-born rapper who gained attention in the hip hop community with his collection of 14 mixtapes. XV released his first studio album, “Complex,” in December 2006 and is currently working on his next studio album, “The Kid with the Green Backpack.” XV uses specific events from his middle and high school career as inspirations for his songs and documents his studio visits with YouTube videos. XV is currently touring the United States, performing with acts such as The Clipse, Mike Posner and Chiddy Bang.

Marcus Neal, better known as Delirium, is an SU student who has been making a name for himself in only his first year of college. He has performed for Artists on the Brink, a showcase for local up and coming musicians, and has played at several house parties off campus. Delirium is currently working on a mixtape, “Living Legend Vol. 1.”
