Student Veterans Organization Announces New Officers for 2016-2017

The Student Veterans Organization (SVO) formally announced the newly elected officers for the 2016-2017 academic year at its Annual Student Veterans Ball on April 23.

The incoming slate of officers includes:

President:
John Miccio (Syosset, N.Y., U.S. Army)

Vice President:
John Williams (Baldwinsville, N.Y., U.S. Army)

Treasurer:
Kierston Whaley (Pennellville, N.Y., U.S. Army)

Secretary:
Anthony Pegues (Dallas, U.S. Army)

Public Affairs Officers:
Kevin Lee (Flushing, N.Y., U.S. Marines)
Paul Honnick (Exton, Pa., U.S. Navy)

“It is a great honor to be elected as the new president for the SVO,” says Miccio. “I look forward to helping yesterday’s warriors transition into tomorrow’s leaders through the guidance and support of the SVO.”

Outgoing SVO President Jordan Robinson adds, “I am so grateful for the opportunity to have led such a prestigious organization and I am confident my successor, John Miccio, will continue to help the SVO grow and succeed.”

The current 2015-2016 officers will continue to serve until May 1 of this year.
