Cynthia Morrow
Dr. Cynthia Morrow will speak Monday, April 4, on the influence of the community in shaping health during an event organized by Healthy Monday.
The luncheon event, which is free and open to the public, will be held at 11:45 a.m. in the Peter Graham Scholarly Commons, Bird Library, Room 114. A Meatless Monday lunch will be provided.
Those interested in attending need to R.S.V.P. on the Healthy Monday website by Wednesday, March 30.
Morrow will talk about using the environment around you to create natural defaults for making healthy choices easy and will offer practical strategies.
Morrow is a professor of practice in the public administration and international affairs department at the Maxwell School, as well as a faculty scholar with the Lerner Center for Public Health Promotion. Through Upstate, she is an assistant professor in the Center for Bioethics and Humanities, an assistant professor in the Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine and an assistant professor of pediatrics. She earned a medical degree, as well as a master’s in public health, from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. Prior to joining the Maxwell School, Morrow was the former Commissioner of Health for the Onondaga County Health Department.
