Personnel from the 2010 Census are on campus this month and through mid-May to collect information for the federally mandated nationwide population count.
In the residence halls: Census personnel have been in and out of the North Campus residence halls and the Skyhalls at South Campus, collecting paper surveys that students return to main desks. Next step is for enumerators to visit all the halls to follow up personally with students who did not return their surveys.
At the South Campus apartments: Census personnel delivered the surveys directly to students’ doors. As with North Campus, enumerators will be visiting apartments in an effort to collect the information from those who did not return the survey.
Greek chapters and off-campus student housing will also be visited by enumerators.
The enumerator-staff process is likely to go on through Commencement. Census personnel all carry I.D.
