The end of the school year means the beginning of road construction season on the Syracuse University campus. One of the bigger projects this spring gets underway next week. Sims Drive will be closed from College Place to Forestry Drive from May 13 to Aug. 15 for comprehensive site improvements and utility construction. A two way vehicular traffic pattern will be established on South Crouse, between the Carrier Dome and Archbold Gym. A bike and pedestrian detour route will be posted on signs, and a pedestrian path along the east side of Arcbhold Gym will allow access to the gym. During construction, there will be an impact on parking. People who park in lots affected by the project (Carnegie, Q3 and the north portion of the Archbold strip) have been notified by Parking and Transportation Services.
