Applications are now being accepted for the Syracuse University NASPA Undergraduate Fellows Program (NUFP), which is a semi-structured mentoring program aimed at exposing undergraduate students from historically underrepresented groups to careers in student affairs and higher education.
Students who identify as black/African American, Asian, Hispanic/Latino(a), indigenous (Native American, Alaskan, Hawaiian), multiethnic, gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans*, queer or as having a disability are encouraged to apply. NUFP fellows join hundreds of students who have discovered the field of student affairs. The program provides them with opportunities to attend national conferences, receive paid internships and participate in a summer leadership institute. Fellows will also be engaged with the campus community.
NASPA is the National Association of Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education and consists of 13,000 individuals and 2,100 institutions that create a network where members can find the resources and support they need in their role within student affairs. Syracuse University’s chapter of the NASPA Undergraduate Fellows Program is committed to increasing the presence of historically underrepresented populations employed in student affairs and higher education.
