As part of the inauguration festivities on Friday, April 11, Chancellor Kent Syverud has invited a distinguished and diverse panel of SU experts to participate in a thoughtful conversation about “Great Universities in the Next 25 Years.” The symposium will take place from 10:30 a.m. to noon in the Rose and Jules R. Setnor Auditorium at Crouse College.
The event is open to the entire campus community.
Participants will be asked to address a range of topics of interest to universities now and in the future. Among the topics will be the following: How the research environment might change and improve over time; the integration of athletics and academics; service to the military community; technological changes and teaching innovations; how campuses of the future might be designed; and others.
Audience members will be able to participate in the discussion and ask questions of the experts. College of Visual and Performing Arts Dean Ann Clarke will moderate the discussion.
