The City of Syracuse wants the input of citizens on the design of the new logo advertising the Onondaga Creekwalk. The logo options were designed as part of a class project by communications design students from the Class of 2013 in the College of Visual and Performing Arts’ Department of Design.
“This is an example of the type of collaboration made possible when an entire community rallies around a positive project,” says Mayor Stephanie A. Miner. “We thank the students and staff from Syracuse University as well as our partners at Syracuse.com for their interest and their commitment to the progress of the Onondaga Creekwalk.”
To view and vote on design choices, individuals may go to http://www.Syracuse.com. Voting runs until 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8. The three choices are displayed along with an online poll.
The Onondaga Creekwalk is a 2.6-mile-long recreation trail extending between Armory Square and Onondaga Lake, traveling through the Downtown and Lakefront neighborhoods. The trail was opened in 2011.
