Due to unavoidable circumstances, the closing night screening for the 11th annual Human University Human Rights Film Festival has been changed. The festival will now close on Saturday, Sept. 28, at 7 p.m. in Life Sciences Auditorium (LSB001) with “Kai Po Che!,” directed by Abhishek Kapoor. It replaces “Shahid” by Hansal Mehta.
The critically acclaimed Bollywood film (Hindi with English subtitles) tells the story of three young friends as they struggle with making their dreams come true and establishing a cricket academy. Things take a turn when Gujarat is wracked by the communal riots of 2002, and they have to face the new reality of religious strife and divide. The film is an adaptation of bestselling novelist Chetan Bhagat’s “The Three Mistakes of My Life.”
