Award-winning Performance Poet Roger Bonair-Agard will perform at Community Folk Art Center on Friday, Feb. 8 at 6:30 p.m. Bonair-Agard will perform as a featured guest within Community Folk Art Center’s annual Caribbean Cinematic Festival, a five-day celebration of Caribbean film and culture.
Bonair-Agard has appeared three times on HBO’S “Def Poetry Jam” and on the “MacNeil-Lehrer NewsHour.” Bonair-Agard is a two time National Poetry Slam Champion, as well as the author of two popular books of poetry: “Tarnish and Masquerade” (Rattapallax, 2007), and “Gully” (Cypher, 2011).
Bonair-Agard will lead a workshop at the YMCA Downtown Writer’s Center on Saturday, Feb. 8, at noon. Space is limited and participants must pre-register.
