Through the Natinoal Science Foundatinos’s Robert Noyce Program and joint efforts between the College of Arts and Sciences and School of Education, significant funding is available for qualified undergraduates in STEM majors.
Undergraduate scholarship of up to $10,000 per year for up to three years are available to current undergraduate students majoring in the sciences, mathematics or engineering who opt pursue a dual degree in science or mathematics education (grades 7-12). Internships of $1,200 are also available for freshman and sophomore undergraduate students majoring in the sciences, mathematics and engineering to work with local middle and high school students performing tutoring and enrichment activities. If you have any interest in potentially pursuing a degree in education in addition to your STEM discipline, you are encouraged to come to an information sessions to learn more about the NSF Noyce funding opportunities. The information sessions will be Monday, Nov. 5, from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. or 3:30-4:30 p.m. in Heroy Lab room 103. Please drop by anytime during the information sessions.
