The Two Row Wampum Campaign is a statewide educational and advocacy campaign organized by the Onondaga Nation and Neighbors of the Onondaga Nation/Syracuse Peace Council to mark the 400th anniversary of the Two Row Wampum Treaty in 2013. This first treaty between the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) and Europeans outlines a commitment to living in peace and friendship forever, meaning sustainably. The campaign will develop a broad alliance between New Yorkers and the Haudenosaunee to achieve social justice for the Haudenosaunee and environmental justice for all.
About the presenter: Andy Mager is the project coordinator for The Two Row Wampum Renewal Campaign. He has worked extensively in the peace, environmental and social justice movements as an activist and organizer for over 30 years. He has worked at the Syracuse Peace Council for the past 11 years, where he has coordinated the work of Neighbors of the Onondaga Nation (NOON).
