Summer parking upgrades are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. All email requests should be emailed to Cheri Robillard at cmrobill@syr.edu no sooner than Tuesday, April 17, at 12:01 a.m.—NO EXCEPTIONS. Requests will be processed and assigned in the order in which they are received. Any request received prior to the above-mentioned date will be considered void and discarded without notification. Spaces cannot be held for any reason.
Your upgrade request should include the lot of your choice, current license plate, make, model, color and year of the vehicle—all this information must be included in the original request to ensure timely processing. Only individuals with a valid 2011-2012 permit are eligible for an upgrade.
Lots available for Summer 2012:
Booth garage, Harrison, Hillside, Irving garage, Ostrom, Marion, University Avenue garage, Waverly and Women’s South.
Q1 will not be available for upgrade until July 5 due to construction. If you wish to upgrade to this area, your request is due on Tuesday, April 17, at 12:01 a.m.—NO EXCEPTIONS. If granted, you will not be eligible for any other area—you cannot select one of the above listed lots and then relocate to Q1, you will have to wait until the lot becomes available. The upgrade fee for Q1 (due to its limited duration) is $25.00. You must have five (5) years of service in order to qualify for a Quad lot upgrade.
Upgrade fees for Summer 2012 are $35 for surface lots and $40.00 for garages plus an additional $40 refundable fee for proxcards for secured areas. All outstanding citations must be paid in full prior to acquiring your upgrade permit. Citation and upgrade fees may be paid by cash, check or credit card—payroll deduction is not available.
Note: Please be advised that you may be asked to relocate for a short duration while general maintenance, striping and sealing is performed on the upgrade lot. You will be relocated to the nearest facility for the temporary.
