Information from Syracuse University’s Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC) is cited in a City Limits article on federally funded anti-crime programs in cities.

The Post-Standard highlighted the “Loud Towel” and community-building efforts by former SU basketball player Lawrence Moten and former SU football player and Shirt World owner Dave Jacobs. Portions of the proceeds will benefit the Burton Blatt Institute, Say Yes to Education, and the Jim and Juli Boeheim Foundation.

William Banks, Board of Advisors Distinguished Professor and director of the Institute for National Security and Counterterrorism in the College of Law and the Maxwell School, is quoted in New York Times and Guardian (U.K.) articles on who is responsible for the Iran nuclear scientists attacks.

David Cay Johnston, distinguished visiting lecturer in the SU College of Law, took part in a PBS NewsHour discussion on just how high U.S. tax rates should or should not be and the correlation between economic activity and tax rates. He also appeared on MSNBC’s “Ed Show” to discuss the financial backgrounds of some Republican presidential candidates.

John Wolohan, professor in the Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics, authored an Athletic Business column on the need for health and fitness centers to provide safe and properly maintained exercise equipment.

Reuters quotes Robert Thompson, director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, on NBC’s “Today Show” turning 60.
