An Associated Press article reported on SU’s participation in the Summer Jobs+ program, announced by the White House on Thursday to provide summer jobs for 180,000 young people between the ages of 16 and 24.

USA Today features the Newhouse School students-part of Professor Charlotte Grimes’ political reporting class-who are preparing the cover the New Hampshire primary. Elizabeth Carey, a graduate student in the magazine, newspaper and online journalism program at Newhouse, filed a New Hampshire primary story in the Utica Observer Dispatch from Concord, N.H.

Mediabistro reported on the Newhouse School’s Toner Prize for Excellence in Political Reporting, which recognizes outstanding political reporting in a tribute to the late Robin Toner ’76, the first national political correspondent for The New York Times.

Information from Syracuse University’s Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC) is cited in WABC radio in New York City in a feature on the government’s results from enforcing immigration laws.

Syracuse.com featured the holiday art by Roxanna Carpenter in SU’s Office of News Services. Carpenter created a ginger bread piece modeled after SU’s Hendricks Chapel.
