Freelance author Mark H. Massé will speak at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications on Thursday, Nov. 17, at 7 p.m. in the Halmi Screening Room, 141 Newhouse 3. Follow on Twitter at #Masse.
Massé is a professor and director of graduate studies and the writing center at Ball State University’s Department of Journalism. A freelancer for more than 30 years, he has published articles, essays and stories in international, national and regional periodicals, as well as creative writing collections. He is the author of two books of narrative nonfiction, “Trauma Journalism: On Deadline in Harm’s Way” and “Inspired to Serve: Today’s Faith Activists,” as well as a novel, “Delamore’s Dreams.”
The event is co-sponsored by the Department of Broadcast and Digital Journalism, the Department of Newspaper and Online Journalism, and the Public Diplomacy Program.
