The S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications will host alumna Thaler Pekar ’85, an expert in the field of organizational narrative, on Monday, Nov. 14. She will speak on “Why Story Matters” at 7 p.m. in the Joyce Hergenhan Auditorium in Newhouse 3. Her talk is free and open to the public. Parking is available in SU pay lots.
Pekar is a leading expert in the field of organizational narrative and developing and delivering messages. She assists organizations and their leaders in harnessing the power of story in building authentic and appealing brands; quickly and sustainably engaging audiences; gathering and sharing knowledge; and conquering complexity.
Thaler began her communications career combining her Newhouse education with her passion for social change and issue advocacy. Her curiosity, quest for authenticity and desire to help clients achieve strong results has led her progression from public relations to political organizing; from public affairs to value-based communication; and from finding and sharing stories to building narratives.
