In a Washington Post article on the recent debt-ceiling compromise, Eric Kingson, professor of social work in the David B. Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics, is quoted on the newly-created “super committee” whose 12 legislators are tasked with reducing the federal deficit by another $2.8 trillion.
The Houma Today (Terrebonne Parish, La.) quotes Robert Thompson, director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, in a story on the trend of “planking” and the Buffalo News quotes Thompson on the format of local programming in a business story about Buffalo station WNGS-TV converting to a new network affiliation with an emphasis on locally produced content.
Rising senior Natascha Trellinger in the L.C. Smith College of Engineering and Computer Science is quoted in a Pueblo Chieftain (Colorado) story on rocket launches in the area recently during the annual United Launch Alliance and Ball Aerospace Summer Intern Rocket Launch.
