STEP call for papers on SU Showcase theme ‘Sustainability for a Livable Future’

The Maxwell School’s Students for Tomorrow’s Environmental Policy (STEP) student organization invites graduate student paper submissions dealing with the 2011 SU Showcase theme “Sustainability for a Livable Future.” Papers should focus on topics
exploring the policy, management and science implications of diminishing resources, energy challenges and evolving human impacts on the natural environment.

Suggested content areas include but are not limited to:

• Climate change – sustainable development
• State and local environmental regulation
• Environmental advocacy and conflict resolution
• Environmental governance
• Natural resources policy and management

Submitted papers will be posted on the STEP website and highlighted in other outlets beginning on April 2. STEP has a large audience spanning multiple schools and disciplines within Syracuse University and SUNY-ESF. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure and feedback for research underway or completed, as well as to engage the
SU community in sustainability dialogue. Published authors will be honored at STEP’s end-of-year Sustainability Celebration.
