• Maureen Casey, chief operating officer at the D’Aniello Institute for Veterans and Military Families, was interviewed by WINK News for the 22nd anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
• Charlie Driscoll, professor of environmental systems in the College of Engineering, spoke with Salon for the story “Atmospheric acid test: Can the successes of reducing acid rain apply to the current climate crisis?“
• Christopher W. Fernandez, an assistant professor of biology in the College of Arts and Sciences, was in the EcoWatch article “Climate Crisis Is Breaking Down Fungi-Tree Communication Networks, Study Finds.”
• Shubha Ghosh, professor at the College of Law and director of the Syracuse Intellectual Property Law Institute, was interviewed for the Bloomberg Law story “Microsoft Sees Low Risk for Customers in AI Copyright Lawsuits.”
• James Abbott, professor of practice & chair, music industry & technologies at the Setnor School of Music, was quoted in the Lifewire story “Why Not Everyone Thinks AI-Generated Music Is Grammy Worthy.”
• Cydney Johnson, vice president of community engagement and government relations, was on News Channel 9’s Bridge Street discussing Syracuse’s partnership with the Salvation Army.

• Mona Awad, Esther M. Larsen faculty fellow in the humanities and assistant professor, was quoted in The New York Times and Boston Globe.
• Déirdre Joyce, head of digital stewardship and the digital library program at the Libraries, was featured in Yahoo Finance’s story “Preservica and AM Partner to Provide Best-in-Class Digital Asset Management and Digital Preservation Solutions for Libraries and Archives.”
• Mary Kiernan, associate teaching professor in Falk College, was quoted in the Better Homes and Gardens story “Can Halloween pumpkins be eaten? The lowdown on consuming these fruits.”
• Carrie Mae Weems, Syracuse University artist in residence, was featured in the New York Times for the article “Carrie Mae Weems and George C. Wolfe on Defiance and Claiming Space.”
• Thomas Keck, professor of political science in the Maxwell School was interviewed by Inside Higher Ed for the article New Academic Freedom Principles Open Door to Outside Intervention
