The Sheraton Syracuse University Hotel & Conference Center has announced upcoming renovations that will enhance the hotel’s style and comfort. It will be one of the first Sheratons in North America to sport the new Sheraton guest room package.

“The renovations will make a great hotel even greater,” says General Manager David Heymann. “We’re excited to have a fresh hotel we can roll out to our customers.”

The Sheraton will boast 235 newly renovated guest rooms, a brand new club lounge and expanded fitness center. The guest rooms will have all new wall treatments, carpeting and furniture, and the fitness center will be filled with new Core Fitness equipment. Furthermore, the Sheraton will be making visual upgrades in the main lobby, including a redesigned front desk

The Sheraton will make renovations to the hotel’s restaurants as well.

“Rachel’s and Seasons will be getting a facelift that will coincide with the new Sheraton design,” says Pete LaPage, Sheraton’s chief engineer. “The restaurants’ renovations will include new wallpaper, carpeting and furniture that will update their appearance.”

The Sheraton’s multi-million dollar renovation will begin this month. Completion of the guest rooms is anticipated for April, followed by the completion of all other renovations by December 2011. Renovations will occur floor by floor to assure that guests will not be disrupted.

As a Starwood brand, Sheraton follows a property improvement plan, which keeps the hotel up-to-date with modern style and technology. Starwood aims to keep a consistent design throughout all Sheratons, providing a familiar and dependable experience for their guests no matter the location.
