Nicholas Armstrong, senior director for research and analytics in the Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF), was interviewed by MSNBC for the story “Military families in need of food assistance amid pandemic.” Armstrong, who is also an adjunct faculty member in the Maxwell School, has found that roughly 39% of active-duty families had food and nutrition support needs since the start of the pandemic.
