This winter break, students can earn one to four credits in four weeks or less, boost their GPA or prepare for study abroad (when programs resume). All Winterlude classes will be held online and are open to Syracuse University students, both full and part time. Students should meet with their home college academic advisor prior to enrolling.
New for 2021: Two-Week Classes
Winterlude now offers 20 options for two-week classes. These one-credit classes will be held online January 11-22, 2021. Students can use their winter break to explore the world of author H.G. Lovecraft, learn about politics and pandemics, gain perspective on the global workplace or hone their presentation skills. Courses offer opportunities to improve creative writing or daily drawing skills; explore such topics as Italian cuisine, free speech in America and the ethics of artificial intelligence; or learn skills to improve personal health and well-being. Four-Week Classes: Earn Three to Four Credits
Four-week classes are held online, Dec. 21, 2020, through Jan. 15, 2021. From art, anthropology and architecture to sport management, sociology and writing, classes cover a wide range of topics. Students can earn three to four credits, fulfill requirements or explore a new subject in depth. Learn more about four-week classes.
