Kendall Phillips, professor of communication and rhetorical studies in the College of Visual and Performing Arts, was quoted in the Observer article “Nothing Good Lasts Forever, But Marvel May Be Too Big to Fail.” Phillips is an expert on comic books and popular culture, focusing much of his research work specifically on Marvel. Marvel is set to release a new movie, Eternals, which Phillips believes “is the biggest gamble of the upcoming phase” of the Marvel brand.
