“Biden’s debate strategy is to let Trump be Trump” 

Grant Reeher, professor of political science and director of the Campbell Public Affairs Institute in the Maxwell School, was interviewed by The Hill for the story “Biden’s debate strategy is to let Trump be Trump.” Reeher, who is an expert on American politics and the 2016 election, says that Biden has taken the strategy of simply showing up and remaining collected during the debates since most voters already have made their choice on which candidate they will vote for. “They’re just watching to see the show, or to root on their team, or to see a train wreck, and not to try to figure something out,” says Reeher.
