Whitney Phillips interviewed on “News Not Noise”

Whitney Phillips, assistant professor of communication and rhetorical studies in the College of Visual and Performing Arts, was interviewed on the “News Not Noise” program on Instagram. Facebook recently announced that QAnon will be banned across all platforms; however, many question what difference this step will make in halting the spread of the conspiracy group’s misinformation. In the interview Phillips, an expert on digital ethics and misinformation, “breaks down exactly what QAnon is and how it connects with some of the trending topics you see on social media.”
