Oh, the Places You’ll Go! Celebrating Recent High School Grads
We asked faculty and staff to share photos of their favorite recent high school graduates. Congratulations to all, and good luck as you continue your journeys!
Beginning today, all Syracuse University students, faculty and staff with a University email account (syr.edu) will have access to the depth and breadth of news coverage available on syracuse.com/The Post-Standard, an Advance Media NY news and information source.
Syracuse University has entered into an agreement with Advance Media NY to provide access to news, information, analysis and in-depth stories published on syracuse.com (all desktop, mobile, Android and iOS platforms); the ePost-Standard; home delivery of the Sunday Post-Standard print edition (for individuals living within Advance Media NY’s local delivery area); and a suite of premium email newsletters.
“What happens within and beyond our campus directly impacts our Orange community and our Central New York community,” says Newhouse School Dean Mark Lodato. “We are at a pivotal time in our country where quality journalism is needed to understand the world around us. An informed citizenry powers our democracy, and this partnership will help our campus community remain informed and aware of what’s happening in our city, county, state and nation.”
“We are proud to offer unlimited access to Syracuse University students, faculty and staff,” says Tim Kennedy, president of Advance Media NY. “Credible news and information are vital to the health of our communities. Our award-winning journalists at The Post-Standard/syracuse.com—including so many from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications—produce some of the best local journalism in the country.”
Students will register for access via www.syracuse.com/digitalsubscription/education by using the promo code SU2020STUDENT. Faculty and staff will register for access by visiting the same site and using the promo code SU2020FACULTY. This will allow immediate access as a digital subscriber. Subscribers will then be prompted for a zip code. If it is a deliverable zip code, they will have the option to add a Sunday print edition at no charge.
Student subscriptions will expire at the end of the academic year. Faculty and staff subscriptions will remain in effect for as long as the faculty or staff member has a valid @syr.edu email address. A Sunday print subscription can be placed on hold during vacation period(s) and during spring break. Digital access will continue during those vacations.
Students in residence halls will receive the Sunday edition of The Post-Standard at a security desk or foyer. Deliveries to off-campus housing will be made to the individual addresses registered. Deliveries to faculty and staff will either be to their homes or to the entrance of their campus building/school address.
