Artist in Residence Carrie Mae Weems was featured in the New York Times piece, “A More Inclusive View of MoMA’s Sculpture Garden.” The New York Times Style Magazine article series aims to “highlight a recent or little-shown work by a Black artist, along with a few words from that artist.” The article features a piece by Weems, known for her powerful images of African-American identity, from her new “RESIST COVID TAKE 6!” project which highlights the impact of COVID-19 on Black Americans.
