Rosalinda Maury, Director of Applied Research and Analytics with the Institute for Veterans and Military Families, was interviewed by Military Times for “Veterans unemployment drops in May, but worries about long-term job market linger.” Despite the effects of coronavirus, the unemployment rate among veterans dropped, which Maury believes is a “positive step for the veterans community,” but does “not guarantee a full economic recovery in coming months.” Maury states that “unemployment is one measure of a stable economy, but it’s not the only measure,” so “when you look at all the revenues that were lost in the last few months, we’re not out of the woods yet.”
