Soul Series includes programming on and off campus, and SoulScape, an overnight retreat available by application.

From building connections to exploring a greater sense of purpose, free Soul Series programs cover many topics and have sessions throughout the academic year. With a wide-variety of themes surrounding life’s big questions, such as purpose, love and connection, in on and off-campus settings, programming unites students seeking inspiration, connection and resources to Be Mindful.

“Soul Series experiences such as SoulScape, paved the way for me to make student-to-student connections. It provided me the opportunity to engage in the campus community in ways that were unexpected yet, quite literally a breath of fresh air,” says Maria Wood ’21. “Not only did it provide me the opportunity to make connections with students I otherwise may have not interacted with, it also brought a sense of belonging and peace. I truly encourage students to take advantage of these experiences.”

SoulScape

Enhancing the student experience beyond campus, are free overnight retreats at the Minnowbrook Conference Center in Blue Mountain Lake, NY. All five sessions of SoulScape feature activities and group exercises focused on purpose, gratitude and vulnerability. Throughout the retreat, participants will explore a greater sense of meaning and self-understanding through connection building activities. Each SoulScape event is free and includes roundtrip transportation, lodging and meals.

The SoulScape applications for Saturday, Oct. 26 through Sunday, Oct. 27, and for Saturday, Nov. 9 through Sunday, Nov. 10, are now open. All Syracuse University students are encouraged to apply. Please note space is limited. Deadlines for the first two trips close at midnight on Sunday, Oct. 13 and Sunday, Oct. 27, respectively. Be on the lookout for the following future applications to open on the Soul Series webpage.

  • Saturday, Feb. 8 through Sunday, Feb. 9
  • Saturday, Feb. 22 through Sunday, Feb. 23
  • Saturday, April 4 through Sunday, April 5

SoulTalk
