Syracuse University and the City of Syracuse are reminding members of the campus community about the following parking and transportation updates and regulations.
New University Bike Path
The City of Syracuse has completed a project to provide a clearly defined bicycle path connecting the existing Euclid Avenue path with the Connective Corridor. The new path improves safety for bicyclists, pedestrians and motorists by putting bicycle lanes on both sides of the street along Comstock and Waverly avenues that move with motor vehicle traffic. The number of available parking spots on Waverly Avenue has also been reduced to create a safer experience for pedestrians.
Thornden Park
Please note the continuation of parking restrictions in Thornden Park, which are in place to help ensure parking is available for park visitors who sometimes have difficulty finding space during the academic year. The campus community should observe and adhere to signage that alerts drivers to the restriction against all-day parking in the city park.
