Established following his death in April 2004 while he was serving with the 75th Ranger Regiment in Afghanistan, the Pat Tillman Foundation invests in the future of military veterans and their spouses through academic scholarships at select universities. One of only 15 invitation-only University Partners across the United States, Syracuse University was recently awarded two of the prestigious scholarships from the nearly 60 presented this year.

The foundation awards the more than $1.3 million in scholarships to the best-poised leaders who show strength in character, academic excellence and incredible future potential.
The Syracuse-Tillman Foundation partnership aligns with the University’s commitment to be “the best place for veterans,” enabling recipients to apply the lessons learned in life, at Syracuse University and in the military to impact America for years to come.
